Convert old style h3 3d to new?

My phantom that I lost and now found has the plug on the mount that the gopro plus into. My new p2 I just got yesterday doesn't have that nice plug. Can I take it apart and swap the plug into my new h3 3d?

Yes, many people have done that, or cannibalized an H3-2D.
