Controller no longer beeps after RTH is initaited

Hi, so I used to get the constant beep from my controller when I'd hit the RTH button. Now, I do not, what I do get is voice "returning to home" - "Landing".

I have to double check the button to see if the RTH button flashes on/off white.

The ONLY thing I've done differently is for the past two weeks I changed my flying distance from thousands of feet to a few hundred feet away from me. Hmmmm...

The controller beeps -only after I power up the controller by itself - no phone on, no p4 on. That's the only time I get the RTH beep. There was a time where i found the beep to be sooo annoying, but now without it my eyes have to check the a screen constantly to see that the craft is coming home.
