Compass Sensor on Tablet

Does anyone know if you need to have a compass sensor on your tablet to get the orientation on the map to align correctly? I have a samsung galaxy Tab 4 7.0. From day 1 my orientation has always been off on the DJI app by atleat 90 degrees. I have tried gps apps that people have recommended, but all of them say not compatable with my software due to no electronic compass sensor.

If your tablet has no compass sensor, it will have no idea what it's orientation is and so won't be able to display properly.
Androsensor will show what sensors your tablet has.
