Compass interference from gimbal motor?

I have had a lot of Toilet Bowl Effect lately, seems to be worse since I installed a gimbal. I recently moved the gimbal back more towards the center of the Phantom for better balance. The TBE seems really bad. Is it possible that the magnets in the gimbal motor are affecting the compass?
What are the best things to try besides calibrating the compass to correct the TBE. Would calibration help if the gimbal magnets are the problem?
Compass values seemed to be in the normal range when i connected to assistant software.

If the gimbal was mounted and powered up when you read the values, and they still seemed ok (mod number between 1600-1800), then the gimbal isn't the issue. Did you move the compass location or change/replace the landing gear in any way when you put the gimbal on?

I did the advanced IMU calibration again and calibrated the compass again before flight. Seems to be much better this time.
