Hi Everyone, I'm new to the Phantom (just got one yesterday) and new to this forum. I'd like to share my experience with the setup and calibration of my Phantom, in case anyone else has the same issues I did. So out of the box, I was unable to complete the compass calibration procedure. It always ended with the flashing red LED. I upgraded the firmware to version 4.00 and loaded the default configuration (.nazam) file. Tried the Advanced IMU calibration. Still unable to complete the compass calibration. Then I noticed the compass raw values (Tools - IMU Calibration): The Y value was always showing 4096. Did not matter if the Phantom was moved or if I waved a magnet close (approx 5 cm) to the sensor. The X, Z and MOD values seemed to be changing as expected. Ended up being a defective compass sensor. Returned to the shop where I purchased it and got the compass replaced. Compass calibrated correctly.
