There is a reason that DJI advises not to fly over people, property, or vehicles.

Yes. That reason would be attributed to a legal establishment that's run amok - at least in the US - where people who spill coffee on themselves feel they're entitled to millions of dollars. If DJI really believed that their equipment was not safe enough to fly over these things, they wouldn't be selling to us, at least here in the states. (Fitness of merchantability - or something like that - comes to mind.)

Because they're afraid of entitled *ssh*les and weeny lawyers too.

There is a reason that international agencies that govern what when and how Radio Control models can fly, advice not to fly over people, property, and vehicles.

Are you talking about governments? With governments and their agencies, it's always been a control thing. Here in the US, myriads of agencies feel the need to create thousands of idiotic policies and rules for the sole purpose of controlling people. I suspect it's the same with other governments and international agencies too. (Look at the UN as one example of an international agency run amok with all the crap it tries to shove on member states every year.)

But some people are just too dumb to see the reason for that and think they know better than all these experts with decades of involvement with RC aircraft.

Or, to put it another way, some people just believe in using the equipment for what it was made for.

But at east be honest enough to yourself about what's happening, and keep googling "private drones banned" on a weekly basis to stay abreast of what's happening to the hobby, and how fast it happening.

You say this as though you think it will stop people from flying them...

I think he was wrong if taken at face value ...... but what I think is not important at all.

It's what the public, property/event administrators and lawmakers will think is right or wrong that will define the future ease of operating our flying cameras where we want to, that (IMHO) is what's important.

Hopefully we will not be encumbered at all!
Hopefully we will all the hit the lottery!
Hopefully there will be world peace ...... and lots of free stuff!
