Commercial use in Bavaria is soooo easy

I'm an American living in Bavaria and was just about to apply for my commercial license when the rules changed.........

You used to have to sign a paper and pay 120 Euros every 2 years and now you just have to sign a paper!!!! It doesn't get much easier than that! And there's talk of making it like this Germany wide.

I understand wanting to track drone users but don't understand how hobbyists taking pics is any different than someone taking pics for money but that is the debate, isn't it! Hopefully things get cleared up around the world in the next year.....

Hey would u mind sharing some details? Despite flying in Bavaria just for fun I never searched the pros and cons of getting a commercial certification. Where did u apply for this?
