Comment deadline is 5 days away. 22,568 comments as of today

The commenting deadline for the FAA's Interpretation of the Special Rule for Model Aircraft is July 25, 2014 at 11:59 PM.

This Interpretive Rulemaking will:

• - create actual law banning on commercial operations;
  - ban FPV operations; and
  - allow the FAA to use all existing Federal Aviation Regulations against model aircraft operators.

Commenting has jumped dramatically.

• Last week there were only about 3,000 comments.
  Yesterday morning, it was up to about 8,000.
  In the past 24 hours it has jumped to 22,568 comments.

That's about 14,000 comments submitted in a single day!

Holy crap! That's awesome! Only a few days ago it was 4,000. This is a huge turnaround and great response!

Thanks so much for posting about this. I had no idea they were even accepting comments and that the commenting period was close to ending. I have commented and encourage everyone reading these forums to do the same! :shock:

Can you provide a link as to where you are getting your number of comments data. I am only seeing 354.
