I know many questions have been asked about this before but please bear with an early stager.
Whenever I setup my p4p prior to flying, I notice that the aircraft status shows compass as:
"Compass Calibrate Normal"
The word "Calibrate" is enclosed in a rectangle and to the right, as indicated above, the word "normal".
As a novice, I took this to mean that the compass needs calibrating and so carried out the procedure.
It appeared to go correctly but when I rechecked the aircraft status section it still shows:
"Compass Calibrate Normal"
On checking "advanced > Sensers> compasses" both compasses are showing green.
Is the indication I am getting under "Aircraft status" normal. Should I take no notice of the word "Calibrate"?
Is this a standard indication, if so where should I look to find a reliable indication of whether the compass needs calibration?
Thank you for reading this far and hopefully a definitive answer.
