Chicago info needed please

I am traveling to Chicago soon and wanting to fly but having a hard time finding info.

1. Ok to take off near navy pier or near water front area?

2. Any suggestion on abandon or ghost town areas via subway?

3. Anything I should be aware of other than the city has a lot of air traffic including heli's ?

I'll have only about 6 hours to travel fly and get back not including a 2 hour pre check in buffer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's a no fly zone south of navy pier I think near the aquarium. Unless u go near midway or ohare airport ur pretty much good.

If u want to see abandoned houses go to the south side.

Stay low cause there is heli and plane flying around, I'm not sure if the air show still going on....Google it cause I know it was on last week or 2
