Cheap spycam (less than $20) gives pretty good video!!!

So...as a new pilot unwilling to risk attaching a Gopro to the Phantom just yet, I taped (yes, just plain taped) a cheapo Chinese knock-off of an MD80 spycam which only weighs 20 grams to the front leg of the machine.

OK for $20.00. Video seems foggy. I get a little better video with my $80.00 Sony cam. But nowhere as good as the GoPro videos I see.

No doubt it is foggy...it's shot through about 6 layers of thumbprints! :lol: I should clean it off with some alcohol.

I imagine the more you invest (for me the proper word would be "risk" as I'm brand new to quadcopters) the better the results. Like I said, ATM I'm exploring how much can be done with as little as possible. I know for a fact, more money is going to be spent going forward. I already bought a Gopro and am awaiting delivery. It won't get used on the Phantom until I'm MUCH more confident a pilot and the sticks become second nature to me, and until I have become far more familiar with invoking the features that make this such a fun and SAFE machine to fly.

Gotta start somewhere! I've had my Phantom for three days.

ANY result at this juncture is a good result. ANY flight that doesn't end in a crash is a good flight. I'm a newbie - and I know it.
