Cheap helical antennas

    I notice ebay and amazon seem to have hundreds of low price helical antennas. Problem is that they seem to be 8+turns, this makes them too directional compared to 3 to 4 turns.
    May be a stupid question, but can they be cut ďown to 4 turns? (and still work?)
    Saying that I will probably go to fpvlr anyway.

    I would say yes, as long as you cut it at an even spot - quarter turn, half turn, full turn, like that. don't just cut it wherever.

    You want IBCrazy brand antennas. The guy pretty much put us where we are today with RC FPV.....

    Here is the one I use for my Fatshark goggles on my FPV Quad. Surf the site until you find the right GHz. You can also IM him for support through the forum.
