Cheap Gimble for Phantom 2 Vision from Ebay ???

I find the seller's name "goodlucksell" a little scary - ha. But, 98.6 positive feedback isn't bad either.

If this thing is actually cool, I'd be willing to give it a try.

I'm about to go for it.
But it seems there is no pitch control from the remote?

They do look the same but i still got to try it out .

I haven't used that gimbal but I think that it is same gimbal that Goodluckbuy is selling:

My experience with a totally different model Goodlookbuy gimbal was awful.

By "awful" do you mean it didn't work at all, or it just worked poorly? Or hardly?

Not having an up & down pitch control would present somewhat of a problem, I'd guess. You'd have to set your pitch before you took off.

I order one of those and couldn't get it to work when fying. it worked fine on the ground. It bounces. only way i got it to work was lowering the gains in the naza but the copter wasnt stable. If you interested, I can sell it to you half off. ($65)

I got that one as well. Here link - I didn't have the modify combo whatever that is.

It works very, very well on the ground with a gopro. Smooth as butter. I use it as a steadycam now. Will try it on my mountainbike see how that works out.
As all others reported this thing bounces once you put the vision 2 camera on (probably due to weight difference to go pro).

The arms are too long and off center of gravity. Its like a diving board on the phantom. Little shakes get increased at the camera.
So unless you are ready to mod the arms length , which will require further modes as camera will get stuck on top, you will not get it to work in a satisfactory way.

However that other design looks good, short stiff arms, camera close to center of gravity - only issue seems to be the controller board right beneath belly of phantom and pitch control. But there are holes for pins - maybe its enough to solder some.

I have to think that they eventually will have to make an acceptable gimbal at some point if they are going to survive. It is also my guess that we are going to see a flood of gimbals for the Phantom Vision very soon.

I am always leery when they do not show movie examples, or "plug and play"

Hang in there, guys and gals, it is going to get better and cheaper.

I got the following 3 axis gimbal from goodluckbuy:

http://www.goodluckbuy.com/dji-phan...-bgc-gimbal-controller-for-gopro-2-3-fpv.html

It was a kit with NO instructions. Needless to say nothing lined up, when you mounted the motors as as shown in the pictures the spindle and c-clip from the motors are pressed against the frame preventing them from turning. I paid $90 extra to get the BGC controller and the yaw channel was dead on arrival.

Luckily the screw holes for the main support from the Taco line up exactly with the holes in the yaw motor and with a new AlexMOS 32bit 3axis controller, hopefully I'll end up with a decent 3axis gimbal after all.

very heavy 300+ grams..

I had made up my mind to buy the gimble until I read your post - 300+ grams is too heavy.

Where did you find the weight specs?

I was unsure for which gimbal i should go for but at the end i decided to go for go pro gimbal and i will make modifications as in video from my previous post. Main reason for chosing that gimbal is because of top mounting plate as i think original plate from Vision is to weak for gimbal and it will create vibrations and jello. It is noticeable in sergios video . I will get gimbal by end of this week and post result.

Here is my initial setup and short test flight in closed court yard as wind is over 50 km/h. Didnt have much space and i was in atti mode as i could not get sat lock. I got some major jello but i think with some modifications i could get it jello free or almost jello free. I will try with this pipe insulation material http://www.imagebam.com/image/0039c6327088621 and place it between 2 gimbal plates. In first setup i just placed protective plastic from gimbal package :D
