Changing from Standard to Advanced

Been pretty happy with the Standard but frustrated by the range so bought a P3A.

Just received it and the battery and controller are now on charge.

Anything specific I should be aware of? Will be using it with a Note 3 on android.

Perhaps the different way to update firmware?
I would hold off doing any updates for a while, you can ignore any nags from the app indefinitely.
Not sure if it comes with the POI version installed but that's worth having I guess.

Enjoy!! I think I would have looked at an antenna mod for the standard and picked up about three times the range. Not that big of deal from 2k to 4 k video as not that many players yet. Some laptops just starting to come out with 4K video and a few TV's.

looked at the mods, but being in a CE area possibly might not have been as successful as FCC areas (limited to 500m wifi, though I did have over 600m on it). The other reason was not voiding the warranty. Fitting the mod would have done so. At least this way the warranty is intact.

I know my mac would have struggled to process the 4k and I have a standard 1080 tv which wouldn't give the true 4k def anyway
