This is awesome!! I feel like this mountain was on Amazing Race last season. Did you use any ND filters to handle the bright snow?

These are astonishing videos.
I have been up Aiguille du midi (in the last century!) and it was hard to envisage what we were standing on, especially as there was a cloud layer below.
Where did you take off from?
I'm surprised they allow it from the top station.

It's interesting it could fly well enough at about 10,000 feet.
The altitude was enough to make anything energetic quite difficult.

My video from 1994 - not as good ;)

Hello,

I didn't try to take off from the station ground.
So I don't know if they allow this or not.
But with lot of people, it's should not be a good idea....

I take of from differents point around the mountain : low part of the ridge to go to Valley Blanche, near the cosmique refuge, etc... It's necessary to have crampons or ski and somewhere the rope.

bye

Hi, im going down there in a couple of weeks. Is it difficult to get down on the base from the cabin station? Are there any stairs or other ways? Is absolutely necessary crampons or skis, even if you follow the tracks near the station?
Cheers
