Cell phone interference

I am looked to attach a Samsung Galaxy S4 to my Phantom 2 Vision +. Then attaching a Seek thermal Camera. I would link the cell phone to my laptop to view the screen via SideSync and using the Phantom wifi. Can this be done or will the cell phone interfere with the phantom?

If the thermal camera is using the cellular signal and you are using the Phantom's wifi to the Samsung you are operation on different bands and modes altogether. There should not be any interference from on to the other.

Will it matter how close to the Phantom's compass the cell phone is mounted? I placed my cell phone in the middle under the phantom on a gimbal guard. My Phantom then had an unexpected fly off and crash.

I don't under stand why you put a cell phone under the Phantom you were previously talking about a thermal camera that used a cellular signal. Hope the Phantoms ok.

I purchased the Seek Thermal camera $195 which uses an android phone and app to display image. Cant afford a Flir Tau 2 at this point
