Catastrophic failure :(

I had same crash Today morning...

The camera and gimbal works, I removed camera from the drone but after that I can't bind transmitter and drone, I want to check motors and other parts for working..

Is it normal? What is the next step to check other parts?

Thanks

I would prefer safe to fly in Gps mode only.

Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots mobile app

I've had this problem of sudden GPS loss twice, but not the crashing. Both times I shut everything down and restarted the RC, Phantom, and app and then everything worked fine. I noticed it was switching between modes either just before takeoff or shortly after when its hovering in front of me and I'm inspecting it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Hope your bird flies another day.

UPDATE: So my confidence is back up as it has been flying fine ever since. Also i never took anything about and simply pushed on the part of the gimble that was slightly separated as it was rubbing on the ribbon wire .

However i still lose rc single very easily and usually cant get up past 250 feet or past 1000 feet out
