Carbon Fibre Props

Which props are you referring to? What's wrong with the props that came with your Phantom?

Anyone had any issues with aftermarket carbon quick release props for P4?

...Chezz, Ive tried the Carbon Reinforced Props much stiffer, nice sound, however I found them to be from 1.0 to 1.5g heavier and would RED Line the Tach every flight when in Sport Mode, needless to say I used them once...

in case of accident, the plastic prop would flex and brake. The carbon fiber one will take much more, which means that this energy will be passed to the motors. No good....

I thought that they were better in windy conditions.

I doubt that on such short propeller it would make any difference, but if it does a more flexible one would absorb some of the kinetic wind energy, thus minimizing the effect of gusts and keeping the flight more stable

OEM props on a P4 are really good and absorb lots of load. But I can understand Fancher using CF props on his big birds, he needs them to move the furniture and tow stranded vehicles!
