With all of the talk about Phantom motor mounts cracking, shells cracking and shells warping, etc., hopefully we will see a stronger Phantom shell (perhaps CF) in the future? The Phantom shell looks cool and sleek so hopefully we will see some more options in the future? :)

Carbon fiber inhibits radio waves. The GPS antenna would need to be outside the shell.

And I bet it would cost 250.00 or more. But it would be super cool!

Kydex would be strong, and very durable. Aquacopters are made from this material.

Won't the antenna just drop through the hole like the oem one does.

But what if we just replaced the bottom half of the shell? That is the one with the motor mounts and the screw mount holes that are cracking. Keep the plastic top cover "lid" so the GPS and all electronics still work fine. Maybe that could work?

The problem with that is we'd all start to crash top first!

Lol - no one can fix accidents but design weaknesses can be corrected!
