Cant reconnect after firmware update

Ughhh - so frustrating!!!
Fresh out of box, phone app tells me that drone and rc require upgrades ... so I follow the directions and confirm updates. Next, the rc won't bind with drone. I figure that out and seem to have green lights on both devices. However, the phone app still reads "disconnected". Interestingly, one of the sticks seems to have limited control over the camera gimbal ... odd. Anyway - DJI is closed - any ideas?

Neither of the control sticks control the gimbal.?? The camera gimbal trys to remain level by design. You can move the camera down by the wheel on the left. Make sure you power things up in the proper order. Remote, the phone / tablet pilot app, then the P3. You can always try removing and reinstall the pilot app.

I suggest that after firmware update you always check the settings and recalibrate, IMU and gimbal, then the compass at the very least.
