Hi all,

My first post.

I'm wondering how you edit your videos? I've just brought one of my Phantom 3 Pro videos in to Adobe Premier Pro and it doesn't seem to want to aknowledge the existence of 4K.

It lets me import the video fine, but when I try to play it or edit it in the edit panel it just won't.

It's a .MOV file (MP4) straight off the memory card.

Thanks in advance.

Try Rendering it first. Maybe. Or maybe taking the file off the SD card and installing it on the PC first. I'm using Adobe Premier 12, and have had to do that first a few times. I've had no problems with the 12 version.

The recorded MOV/MP4 files from Phantom 3 Pro are compressed using the h.264 codec, which is final delivery codec and it is not one you want to use for editing in Premiere.

On this circumstance, an easy fix is to compress and convert these 4K files to a more editing-friendly format for Premiere Pro like MPEG-2 for importing without rending.
