Can't connect through camera...

I recently bought a P2V and have been struggling with the FPV. Are these boards available anywhere as replacements, or are you dismantling other cameras to make the repairs? Thanks for all of the help with this widespread problem.
@J Dot has been dismantling them and has a source and sure he will help or tell you shortly . He has helped me several times .
I did say several didn't I ? :)

Thanks! I appreciate the support. It is a great flyer, but I would like to be able to use the FPV features also. The forum here seems like a great set of resources. Looking forward to learning and contributing.

Hello
Welcome to the forum, Dirk sent me.
Unfortunately these boards are not avail. When the P3 was introduced, I started buying up cheap cameras. Some broken some working. Personally I use a working camera's components to test each board. But since this epidemic, I'm nearly out of cameras and parts. I do have a friend who is a great parts guy. But you'll need to figure out what board is bad before you start buying stuff. But hard to do without working components to test with. You can test wifi board with ( android InSSIDer app )
Turn on only phantom ( with camera set to wifi on ) open app and look for ( 60:60:1f:??:??:?? ) question marks are your Mac addy numbers/letters. 6 in all.

Make sure these numbers match your box or wherever you got your numbers from. And make sure they match the numbers bound to extender ( in vision app under settings, binding ) numbers should match if they don't manually type in numbers in binding procedure click both blue checks, reconnect to phantom wifi open app check camera. If you see NO signal ( 60:60:1f:??:??:?? ) than your wifi board is bad, if you get telemetry but no FPV only spinning circle thing, than top or 3rd board is bad. I've not seen board 2 ever go bad, except for SD CARD slot wearing out or damaged by inserting card backwards. Do some of this testing and get back to me with results.

Here is a video on all this:

Take care, Fly safe

J.Dot... Took the P2V up for her first real flight since the camera replacement. FLAWLESS flights. Went through a battery with not even a hint of a problem. Thanks yet again...

Thanks, J Dot for your description on troubleshooting. If I understand correctly, based on what you described, I am assuming my wifi board is bad (can see telemetry info, but no live video through the vision app). Picked up a used camera and will try experimenting with swapping the wifi board.

Thanks again for the help. It seems these cameras are getting difficult to come by, and there is no formal servicing offered outside of DJI. Will update if I am able to get it working with FPV.

Does anyone know how to fix the DJI vision app on the iPhone? because it's been bricking peoples drones and we can't get FPV.
Please help me! I have always really wanted FPV and when I got my P2V+ I was so excited to use FPV and guess what.... The FPV didn't work on The DJI vision app! Ever since the update
1.0.58, the DJI vision app hasn't been working! So please does anyone know how to fix this problem? (Again, I have an iPhone... Not an android)

Yes
Once older app is on iTunes, then just delete old app from phone, ( always good to power cycle phone ),
Hook to iTunes and load reverted app, via USB to iPhone cord.

Hope this helps!

J Dot

Added: phone does not have to be hooked to PC while reverting, only to load reverted app to iPhone from iTunes.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I would give you $1,000,000 if I could! You would not believe how bad I wanted FPV! You give this advice to everyone who has an iOS device and a phantom 2 vision plus!

Either the wifi module or most likely gimbal mainboard is bad! You can test the wifi module with ( InSSIDer app ( android )) look for
( 60:60:1f:??:??:??)
If you get this signal than wifi module is good ( mainboard of gimbal is bad ) if no signal than module had failed!
Does it say connection to phantom failed?

On The DJI vision FPV, it says that. It also has the signal you were talking about, 60:60:1f:??.??.??

Than you have a bad mainboard in your gimbal, I've seen it time and time again!

Search " DJI vision gimbal mainboard " to find a replacement.

Hope this helps,

Base on all the info I read from you Im almost sure my 3rd board of my fc200 camera is bad it has "most recently ( #3 board ) burnt. Not 100% sure what that board does? ( I'm guessing a processing board for FPV as I was getting telemetry but no live feed, same as cam board burnout" Note: camera working excepted FPV has no live view. I can take pictures and video blind. I've taken the camera apart looking for something burn or broke. If you have a good board 3 let me know. I like this camera over the new ones. Also I've taken pictures of all the broads just not sur of the rules of uploading images. If members like I will up load the picture. Can you post a picture of a bad board 3? Thanks All! ( The board question is to member J Dot )

Ok
Here is a breakdown of a fc200 p2v non-plus camera

View attachment 63778

This is a picture with top plate, and rear cover removed! From here out boards are in order top to bottom ( even though camera is upside-down ) top board #1 board, bottom #4! Ect.

Ok
1st thing you remove are the 2 screws holding the camera lens unit and board on. Located 1 each side of camera base, Phillips screws. ( must lift clip on board #1 to remove ribbon cable )
Camera lens unit
View attachment 63779

Ok now remove 4 small Phillips screws ( 1 on each corner of board )
Carefully pry board straight upwards to unlock, and set aside.
Board #1 camera board
View attachment 63780
View attachment 63781

Next remove 2 small Phillips screws opposite side of board #2, ( power board ) carefully pry up and away ( be extremely careful with this board, as the cooling fan leads attach to it, and can break easily ) gently lay over the side of camera for now.
Board 2 ( I removed fan, fan good, board is bad ) but only for picture purpose
View attachment 63782
View attachment 63783

Ok
Next is board #3 ( culprit )
This requires a small flat screwdriver, as they are special screws, remove 2 post screws, pry board up and away!

Board #3 ( this is board that fries )
I believe the processing board?
View attachment 63784
View attachment 63785

Ok
You should not need to go further, but if you do,
Remove 2 Phillips holding metal housing into camera top shell, remove housing with board #4 attached
Turn over, remove the 4 Phillips screws holding board #4 to housing
( take special note, if you SEPERATE this board, you'll need thermal paste for reassembly, goes between IMU/housing , you'll see the white dot )

Board #4 ( wifi board )
