I cancel RTH a lot, simply because I realize I wasn't aimed properly at the drone and when I do its on its way back, so I cancel it.

Then it could be 1 second later or a minute later I could lose signal again, maybe I was indeed too far away, or something was blocking my LOS. Either way, my heart pounds as I don't know if me canceling RTH earlier then losing connection again makes it still cancelled

what's the grace period on cancelling RTH then it reactivates itself?

Anyone know?

thanks

There's no grace period.

Sometimes you will be in RTH and it'll be heading home marvelously. Your aircraft may or may not be reading your control signal. Whether it is getting a good control signal or not doesn't matter because it is ignoring it in favor of the RTH. So when you try to regain control, it may or may not work for you depending on whether it can read your signal.

If it works, you're in control and the same rule applies to get back into RTH - that is, you will have to lose signal for 3 secs.

If it doesn't work, obviously it will continue RTH.

Hope this helps.
