Hypothetically if you go forward then back at full speed or side to side or just fly your P3* like a crazy person, can the drone flip over and/or crash?

I flipped my P3P once, by accident, when the landing gear got caught on the gazebo frame in my front yard. The video was wild, all of a sudden you are looking where you know you shouldn't be looking...
But it recovered and only dropped about a foot in the process.

Short of physically hitting something the Flight Controller will not allow it to go beyond a certain angle. It will override your input to prevent you from doing this and to keep the top towards the sky LOL

You'd need a P2 flown in Manual Mode to be able to flip a Phantom via control input(s).

If P3's controls are working ok, it won't flip in air.

It might flip during auto take off if the surface is not flat. I prefer manual take off.

I have heard of P3 dropping from air upside down specially when battery failed.

You can also flip your P3 by using the CSC command to stop your motors after landing.

I realize that your question was pertaining to accidentally flipping while in flight, I just wanted to add this in case someone searches for the topic title later.

Cheers!
