Can I use my Gear VR without cutting it up?

Hi I just seen a video where I could use my Gear VR with my P3A is there a alternative way to use my VR without cutting or hacking it up?

I have a micro USB that had a 90 degree angle on the head. It just fits in if you take the interchangable thing out. However it is not as secure so may need a bit of tape or velcro or similar. I have the newest gear VR. I coukd send you a link when i get home if you like
