Both 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz are actually a range of frequencies. I think these radios use frequency-hopping, so they are actually constantly moving up and down
within their range. This helps them avoid things like wifi which stay at a relatively constant frequency. This also lets several of them share the range.
