Camera starts at 45" angle?

After initialising the Phantom the camera/gimbal's start position is about about 45 degrees - is this normal?
I can tilt it up to flat/square to the horizon no problem with the DJI Vision app but should it start level or at the angle?

Yeah, unfortunately that's normal. It always initializes at 45 degrees.

Thanks, I thought so - bit odd but no problem to level the gimbal in the app. I suppose DJI might think (if they do have that ability) that if it's in the air then 45 degrees might be a good starting point ;-)

I always thought it was kind of odd too, but it makes sense from an engineering sense that it would start in the middle of the range.
