Does anybody know if there are any polarizer filters for camera on PV2
 
yes,
Dji makes a lens filter kit ( this is the mount ) it accepts ( 46mm lenses ) you can find lenses on eBay ( I used bower lenses ) , I tried to post pics, but site is weirded out?

i read someone saying that adding a lense filter adds too much weight to the camera thuse stripping the gears in the camera.

Is this true?

+1 J dot but be carful cos this might happen to you. Take a look at the pics;)

You might get some reflection from the filter on very sunny days. You can see it very clear in the 1st pic, 2nd pic it's not as bad, bottom left in the photo.

I have now taken mine off cos of this.;)
