Hey guys

I already have a gopro hero black edition, Id like to get a phantom 2 with the gimbal. Was looking at the DSlRpro kit minus the gopro. Would you guys go that route? Or would I be better off piecing something together myself? Obviously doing the work on my own I'd be very familiar with the operations and parts of the rig. I have experience with rc heli, planes and cars. Not to sound like a smart ***, I'd like to just order everything at one go. Yes I should get used to flying it but again I'd like to just order everything at one go.

Thanks for the help guys!

I just bought a DSLRpros.com kit and am waiting on delivery. I purchased the Sundance kit without the GoPro. The company is very professional and always answer really quick when I have called. I ordered my build but added an extra on 3 days later with no problem from the customer service dept. If you have the extra to spend and want it all Ready To Fly then I would suggest DSLRpros.. but I can't 100% back them till the products delivered. You can definitely piece one out cheaper (my buddy is giving me hell over how much I paid vs. what he thinks he could have done) I should see my delivery soon so if you want unboxing pics let me know and I will send them.

Lets just hope I fly home on my first flight haha.. getting a little nervous now that it is so close to being here.

How long is the shipment taking so far..? On their website it says up to 14 days for assembly.

Today would be the 14th business day, no wait actually 13th. They did say they were running behind due to the H3-3D shipments. They weren't getting them in fast enough.. I am going to call again on Thursday just to check the status. I really think they are a solid company its just been tough getting their parts. I paid extra for rush shipping cause I'm getting so impatient.

Yeah was told about a month, buildtime and shipping time. I think I'll piece one together. Keep me posted once u do get it.

So I don't waste board space and start a new thread.

I'd buy a P2V+...

I have a hero black edition already. I think even if I didn't have a gopro yet I'd still go with a p2, seems like I can tinker more with that compared to the plus.

A nearly plug and play version is to get the AVL58 kit (includes antennas), a diversity ground monitor, a mini IOSD and the cable kit. You can get them at B&H - all one spot shopping - except the diversity. No soldering. Takes 30 minutes to put together if you read the instructions. Five minutes if you've done one. Be sure to follow all the setup recommendations.

Doesn't include GoPro but you can them anywhere.
