On the vision 2+ below the camera lens there is a small button can anybody enlighten me what this is for.

You can start & stop recording by pressing the button.

Manual,record.
Once push takes a picture,hold it for a few seconds to start video.
And yes,pressing that to start recording still causes GPS loss!
