Bringing the phantom 4 pro to the Maldives

so my husband wants to bring his phantom 4 pro to the maldives on our winter holiday. I agree, it would make for some awesome footage. My issue, flights. Are we allowed to bring them on flights. We are travelling with air canada, Sri Lanka airline and turkis airlines.

Also, my other concerns...how to protect from theft in our over water bungalow. It definetly wont fit in the safe. How does one bring it on holidays and protect it from theft?
 
I'd guess battery has to be in checked luggage.
Better find out Maldives laws wrt drones...

Your guess would be very wrong. Every airline's webpage about batteries and dangerous goods will tell you that batteries must NOT be in checked luggage. They must be in carry on luggage with you.
