I was reading the manual to tahe breeze osd and it seems you need a second power supply such as an extra battery for the voltage meter. I will be running a DJI Phantom and this does not seem to be a good option. Is there a way around it. If I onnly use my 3s battery for the breeze will I not get an accurate reading for the voltage meter?

If you want a voltage read out then you absolutely want to connect it to the main Phantom's battery. Connecting to an external one will only tell you the voltage of that.
According to the diagram I saw - the OSD gives you an option of powering the OSD board with an external battery in addition to monitoring off your Phantom battery.
