Playing around with any helicopter remotely that big, is basically just Russian Roulette. As funny as it seems, pretty deadly indeed.

Anyone with a new Phantom - big field, let it ago take off. Make it slowly go up a little, then forward. Let it rotate, etc. watch the gps and keep it in sight.

Practice slow, manual landings. Keep away from trees. Think of the flight ahead of time.

Avoid indoor flight for God's sake.

Yup, I tried an indoor tennis court and then in a gymnasium. P3P floated all over stopped both flights quickly before disaster. WHAT GIVES? thought it had all this technobabble to be able to fly indoors now???

My husband and I practiced with our drone inside the first night. Everything went well until something identical to this happened. I highly recommend an open field until you are familiar with your unit. Beautiful cat though.
