Hi can someone help, I have a iPad Air 2 wifi (no gps) do you need to have gps to fly and if so would a Bluetooth gps module be ok to use with the likes of dji go and autopilot app

Thanks for your time.

You can fly even without GPS on iPad but it's good to have for changing the home point or go to follow me mode.

You can definitely use Bluetooth GPS module.

I have the iPad mini 2 with no GPS, you can fly with no problems.
If you want to use follow-me and some other intelligent features you need GPS.
I use the Dual XGPS150A with my iPad mini 2 and it works great. It actually works better than the built in GPS as it using more satellites and is therefore moe accurate

Thanks for your input Quadcopterpilot, I own a XGPS150 and was hoping I could use this with my P3P for the follow me mode. I wanted to do some follow me in remote areas away from cell reception .
