Bluetooth GPS?

Almost at the end of a 5km Follow Me mode flight my iPad Mini 2 Cellular lost gps signal despite I were in an open area, next to the ocean coast, no buildings.
I didn't realized that because I was alone driving my car and occasionally was watching the screen. Because of that the displayed distance between the quad and the RC was wrong.
It was 400m+ far away from me, hovering as the DJI help says when distance between both is more than 200m.
I didn't realize it stopped moving because I was yawing the quad.

I see how many satellites does the gps quad see but I have no clue about the iPad gps.

I know there are good bluetooth gps that can be paired with the iPad.
I don't know if it's worth.

Any idea?
