Can anyone give me some advice on the best settings for the gopro at low light?

Slow it down - it shows the fireworks much better. If you can't get a stable platform then shoot at max 30fps. I don't use filters. I also don't use the low light settings - fireworks are pretty bright. I realize that I just contradicted myself slightly but try it. You may want to try both since it is a preference thing.

I saw these settings from a video showing a fireworks show from the ground. Looked pretty good. I think I'd shoot at 60fps just to be able to do slow motion on bits.

1080p 25fps PAL,
Field of View Wide
Protune On
White balance 3000K
ISO Limit 400
Exposure Compensation 0
