P4P+ newbie Begin-Mode only;

Is anyone using protective glove
to prevent injury when executing
handheld takeoffs-landings??

Not doing handhelds any time soon,
just inquiring; are almost all injuries
to hand...? Obviously, wear glasses, too...

No.

The bird will hold a solid hover. Put it at a comfortable height, hold a leg, thumb under the body for support, then move the left stick into the fully down position and wait 3 seconds for the rotors to stop.

If you do want protective gear, leather gloves will help prevent cuts, and safety glasses will help prevent eye injuries but generally, no I don't use protective gear.

If you are concerned about personal safety, it may be best to practice ground landings until you are more comfortable.

Thanks for reply.
Handheld was a loophole strategy for parks that don't allow
ground takeoffs-landings. But am hearing in other thread
that standing in park whilst operating drone is just as
disallowed as using park ground...?

Thanks.
Do you or anyone have opinion as to
crossing a park border AERIALLY after
taking off outside park...?

Specifically, any reports of being warned
or even fined in such scenarios?

(e.g., it might happen that moving across
park border, even just 100ft or less might
offer a much better view-photo...)

What park ranger is going to back off when
told by drone flyer, "FAA controls airspace
above park starting at 1mm off ground..."

Thanks.

Technically that's legal. The question is how much of an argument you want to get into and is the footage worth it.

I hand catch with no glove. I don't hand launch.
