Best FPV for Phantom 2 with Zenmuse H3-2D

No we don't really recommend one site... wherever is cheapest :)
Your list looks good... you'll want a lanyard if you don't already have one but your setup is almost identical to mine, I have a different transmit antenna but you easily have 1.5km or more FPV system there. Your next decisions will be whether or not to move the CAN-BUS up into the body for an internal iOSD mount (most people do, it's better) and transmitter location/orientation which basically determines FPV Tx antenna location (you don't want it near the compass).
Do you have a video or some guide and feel comfortable that you know where everything plugs in?

^^^^^ NO IDEA what you are talking about.

Also on your other thread, you said you purchased 2 TS353's. Wondering why you needed two?

See this video at 2:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ido6peKTKKo

The video walks you through the entire install. It's easy.

What if any case are you guys using? I'm seeing all types of cases out there, do you have a case that fits everything including the FPV equipment that you would suggest?

I like the idea of buying a pelican case. Seems like reviews are always good and also it gives me the option to shape foam for my needs. I have a couple other cameras and misc items that would be easy to shape into the Pelican case.

Been reading some of the other posts about Pelican cases and everyone seems happy with them. Only question is do I go with smaller case that would likely require me to remove props or larger case???

I accidentally burned up one FPV transmitter by powering it up without an antenna plugged in (you know about this, right? never do that!) so I had to order another one... since the super cheap ones take weeks to ship from China and they were only like $32 I just said screw it I'll order a backup too.

don't worry about taking props off/on, it takes like 10 seconds so don't worry about getting a huge case just so you can transport with props on... nobody I know travels with the props on just mount and unmount them when you fly it's really no trouble

Great thank you for the info, I ended up buying the Pelican 1560 case. Should be perfect for what I need. I like the idea of a back pack but I really don't need the mobility of carrying a drone on my back.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

So I've been lurking around these boards for a few weeks, and I finally just purchased my Phantom 2, with the H4-3D coming in as soon as it's available.
This thread has been invaluable to me in knowing which parts to get for FPV, but I have one question. Why do you all suggest getting the RX-LCD5802 Monitor, instead of the Black Pearl?
From what I've read, the quality and viewing angles are significantly better on the Black Pearl, however the youtube reviews seem to point towards the Boscam RX-LCD5802 being the superior monitor, for almost half the cost.

I do recall reading somewhere that the ImmersionRC transmitter didn't work with the Black Pearl, might be wrong though. Does it have to do with the 32 Channel vs. 8 Channel? That is one aspect of it I'm not sure I understand yet.
Is there any significant advantage in going with the 600mW ImmersionRC Tx as opposed to the Boscam 400mW? I would love to have at least a 1-1.5km range.

Also, when mounting/attaching all the parts such as the transmitter + iOSD, will I need some kind of mounting plate attached to the Phantom? Or is double-sided tape plenty enough?

Thanks in advance!

I'm kind of in a hurry so I'm going to do this quicker than normal:
specs on paper aren't everything... the LCD5802 is ALMOST as good as the BP, but way cheaper. it's solid, works well in sunlight, and besides FPV screens are just for framing your shot, it's low-def video what we really care about are the recordings on the gopro. versus the BP it's an easy $100 you can save and spend elsewhere like antennas. unless you NEED that hdmi port

the BP 32ch supposedly has issues with the IRC600 transmitter. the 8ch does not

again with transmitters... the TS353 performs just as well as the IRC600 in most cases if you get premium antennas... 1.5km at least in a rural environment with no interference... so why spend extra money when a less expensive product works just fine? that's why folks go with a ts353.... save a little $ on the screen and transmitter, get premium antennas and you'll outperform a more expensive system with crap antennas.

you'll want to move the CAN-BUS connector and mount the iOSD internally... it's much cleaner and nicer that way... so the only thing you'll need to mount on the underbelly is the FPV transmitter... I use outdoor double sided tape, others use 3M dual-lock, you can rig a harness out of zip ties if you want. just don't go shooting for 1.5km the first few times you fly... spend some time getting to know the craft at short range and evaluate if your setup is working before you go flying off long distance. if the tape holds it holds :)

Team Aguilar... you are gonna be happy with this set up. I have the same and works perfectly. The monitor is bright in sunligh, 400mw transmitter is light and strong signal. FPVLR antennas are awesome. Boscam is good quality and cheaper so you can afford the FPVLR antennas. I used QYVs set up as the basis for mine. You are gonna have a good time with it.

All the links for the RX-5802 are the black model - I'd love to get the white one that @mendezl has pictured but I can't seem to find a good link for it. Any good suggestions?

Welcome to the Forum! (Meant for Team Aguilar)

Welcome to you too!

I don't have FPV (yet) and I didn't want you to think I didn't want to help! I'm about ready to buy a system myself.

Hey here http://m.banggood.com/RX-LCD-5802-5_8GH ... 47343.html

And here http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/stor ... duct=68631

I bought it from banggood... And here is the charger http://m.banggood.com/Boscam-RX-LCD5802 ... 632012117U

I just picked up TeamAguilar setup as well. I didn't see the white receiver on Hobbyking and got mine from banggood. I know I searched but must have put a number in wrong. It's coming up 129$ after the 5 minute popup. No matter anyway because with shipping it's still 6$ more from Hobbyking.

Now everything is on the slow boat from China so I'll report back in a month on the results :-/

I added links to the LCD5802 white to the stickythread, thanks :)

Take a look at the stickies above. There are links to sites where each piece, that you need, is there and at the lowest price. I'm using it to slowly build two systems.
