Ask for a price match from micro center. I got me one on Monday. Good luck.

Did it include a 2nd battery? If not, the P3P has been seen previously for $1150 with 2nd battery, and that's a comparable price, since batteries are $150.

Still better than paying full price. The P3P isnt priced right imo. THere are competitors coming out that are similar but cheaper. If they dropped it to $999 permanently it would compete imo.

I agree, as long as DJI has the best FPV by far, then it's not a competition... I really hope the GoPro Karma will stir things up!

If the "Karma" footage that they have released is any indication, they have totally missed the boat. Same old distortion and curved horizon. If they think they can just slap a standard GoPro onto a quadcopter they will be sorely mistaken Unless they get it through their heads that a FLAT horizon is preferred by most for aerial photography they will not get many supporters, especially with the market now very crowded....... in my opinion...

I do believe that's what they will be doing and maybe selling the Karma as a GoPro accessory basically, but if there's a big company out there with R&D budget to develop something really cool and will feasibly make a drone, it may be GoPro...

They don't have to get it right on the first try, just that they're in there competing and already have a big company brand name will make DJI shape up more I believe. And that's what I'm happy about :)

I said coming, the prodrone will compete with lightbridge (maybe the xstar premium as well)

Let's hope more come out don't get me wrong I want more competition but the Prodrone specs say 2000 meters or about 1.24 miles, the X-Star says 1.2 miles. People have been getting 4-6 miles from stock P3's.

Exactly... It's all lip service until they actually build something and release it that competes. It just hasn't happened yet.

Look how much money Go Pro wants for one of there cameras. A lil on the high side for me. I think they will need a big price adjustment to compete with Dji rite now. Can they make a flying Go Pro for a resizable price thet folk can afford? I hope they can find away because I like to own more than a few nice flying camara to record all my other activates. One is always going to better at something than the other it all depends on what your going to use it for.

When the Phantom came out it was (and still is on some sites) listed at 2000 meters also. And even if they are just over a mile, that is more than sufficient for me. I personally dont need more. About a mile of clean fpv without a ton of lag is what I am looking for. Its not the distance of light bridge that led me to putting the phantom near the top of my list, its the quality of fpv. (I still may end up with one if it is still on sale for $999 when my check arrives).

I agree, the price of the go pro (and the fov) is what keeps me from considering pretty much any quad without it's own camera.

Whats a fair price? Its odd that someoncan put an arbitrary price on somenw elses product. If its out of your league then you better start saving or look elsewhere.. Free market capitialismis such a beautiful ecrnomic engine if kept running smoothly. If product A is too expense or isnt passing quality control then that leaves the door open for another company to fill the need. The more options the greater the product and the cheaper the price. Socialism on thr other is quite the opposite as the inflated gov. Picks the profit marjins and will tax to death the winner. Im so purplexed that americans couldvote for a bernie sanders. I really belie some the these liberal dont know what socialism means or how badly it will afect us. Even the idea that you should the you should be able to affect DJIs margins based off fairnesd is steeped in marxist philospy. In thr words of the great Margret Thatcher " Socialism works ok until you run out of other people's money." The democrats are really socialists now. Listen to their slogans, the rich need to pay their fair share or the 5% have too much money.

I picked up a P3p in Florida last week for $1300 taxes included and it included an extra battery and the DJI backpack. I was quite happy with that as the P3p unit alone sells for $1829 plus 13% tax here in Canada at Best Buy. And the batteries here at $220 plus probably another $200 for the backpack.

I don't know about fair prices but as of rite now Go Pro is on the high side in comparison.

I just got this off ebay for 1000 Australian dollars which works out to be about 770 United states dollars and this comes with an Extra Battery and a Hard case backpack!! WINNING!! The one prior to this one sold for about 1700 and I only had 1300 as my max bid and then people stopped bidding! I'm pretty chuffed!

I got mine at Bestbuy a little over a month ago for $999 with Extra Battery Included. Then a couple weeks later BHPhoto had theirs for $920, so I got another $70 back.
