I have a Phantom 2 Vision plus V3
Upon booting up, My Drone beeps twice repetitively and the camera flips around.

This happened just after a strange in air gimbal failure, There was no crash.

I've tried changing the battery, reading the manual, looking online.
There is no reference of the Phantom beeping.
The lights continue to function normally and the controller still works, but obviously the camera won't function and I worry this is going to cause damage so I'm not using it until its fixed.

I appreciate any feedback that you may have, Thanks.

yeah... that beeping sounds more like the motor getting activated than an error beep. Are you on the latest firmware? Have you run calibrations on the controller etc? And you never crashed before this?

One other thing - you're flying in snow covered conditions - are you sure you're not getting any water splash wen you land? (wondering if you shorted something out)

It's too regular to seem like a loose connection or something.

Thanks Buckaye.
After seeing your post, I updated my software and restarted.
The beeping and gimbal problem still continues.
I'm not sure how to do a full calibration, so I'll have to look into this further.

Is there a way to reset the Gimbal on the P2V+?
There's a buttton on the front/bottom of the gimbal.

sorry.... when you say "updated the software" what do you mean? There's a difference between software and firmware - so I am making sure you are actually saying you updated the firmware on the Phantom

Hi - Was there any solution to this? I'm having the exact same issue all of a sudden and can't find anything on the internet!

Hey guys check the three connectors at the gimbal. Be sure they are plugged in good and have firm connections. The restart and see if the issue goes away. Vibrations can cause crazy things.

If you have had no crashes and the gimbal is initialising erratically then you may need to reset the entire phantom and reload the previous firmware.

Download from here.

More than likely you had a brushless gimbal motor lead come unclipped or the ribbon cable has failed somewhere. I have seen hundreds of the potentiometers fail on the gimbal control boards. This will cause the same exact symptom.
