Battery restriction

We can thank the other very popular Chinese toy (hover board) for further escalating this issue.

Interesting to note however the danger is in the power denisty Li-ion/polymer batteries provide as neither actually contains any metallic lithium.
 
Not much unless you are planning to freight a couple of pallets full to the other side of the world.
The U.N. aviation agency on Monday prohibited shipments of lithium-ion batteries as cargo on passenger aircraft ....
Lithium-ion batteries can still be transported on cargo planes.
Hey, when you're traveling, you need to have extra batteries. You don't want to be grounded when something interesting shows up.
