I'm a pretty big battery geek, so I've been logging my P4 cycles, full charge capacity, and cell voltages at rest since I've opened my P4 around Christmas time. I'm curious as to how the battery will age and perform. I've also been checking the "Battery life" reported by the battery at regular intervals (page 27 of user manual). I've always figured it would just full charge capacity divided by designed full charge capacity. As in, 5317mAh/5350mAh = 99.3%. That would just be all four lights, since it's over 90%. Makes sense.

So here's the kicker... I recently surpassed 50 cycles on my battery. I was checking the battery life and saw that it was down to 3 lights with the last one blinking. I was surprised, because I knew my full charge capacity as reported by the app was not below 90% of 5350mAh.
So, I've come to the conclusion that the battery life calculation at least has some weight on cycles. My full charge capacity is over 5350mAh, but is showing 90% life remaining. Maybe it uses Wh instead? Somehow I doubt it. I'll have to keep an eye on this when I pass 100 cycles!

See attached screenshot of my battery information screen. This was right after I found out that it was displaying 90%.
Funny how 50 cycles out of 500 would be 90%. Maybe they think 500 cycles is all your ever be able to get, so if you reach 50 and still have over 90% of design capacity...then show 90% life anyway? I'm up to 55 cycles now and still flying strong.

Thoughts?
