OK, updating the battery firmware is not something I tend to do on a regular basis !

However I recently bought two new batteries, which come with a note saying that because these batteries include upgraded cells (I think this happened some time ago), I should update the firmware to 1.0.2.7 or above via the Phantom assistant, before using the battery.

So, using Phantom Assistant 3.8 (which I think is the latest) :

The battery I use frequently shows it is at battery firmware 2.6.0.0
The two new batteries show they are at battery firmware 1.0.0.9

However Phantom Assistant states for battery firmware.. "No updates".

What am I missing ?

nothing.... they dropped the "battery upgrade" capability when supposedly they tried to stop clone's from coming into the system, but supposedly there was a large percentage of DJI batteries that were bricked when upgraded so they killed the upgrade which even had the "auto discharge" feature

bit by their own quality - I find that funny unto itself....

Thanks. Seems to jog my memory now you mention it. It must be my age :)

Looks as though DJI hasn't done an update on their literature. Of course there is no way to update those new batteries to v2.6 due to the fact they pulled that update and it no longer works.

Wonder if the sun ever shines  where their heads are stuck.
