Could anyone please advise me on how to upgrade the firmware on a brand new flight battery? It came with another Phantom 3 Professional but I want to use in my other Phantom 3 Professional for now.

Thank you for any help.

Bud

You have to have the lastest firmware upgrade on you SD card insert in into your drone the insert the battery. Turn on the battery and the update will happen on your battery.

So what's up with creating another account?

Hey so I just got my P3S back from repair, and in the process they 'updated' my firmware.

So I can update my batteries firmware as per above video, how can I tell what firmware they put on so it matches?

cat007 you can find firmware versions from the DJIGO app, if you can't find it I/we can post how to later when I'm at a place I can do this

Thank you very much, most appreciated. It's awful when you get old. Can't remember a lot of things, or they don't recall too quickly.

Thanks so much for the video. It was a huge help. It's funny how a little memory jog helps so much.

Thanks to all who responded to my call for help on this subject. You folks are simply outstanding with your willingness to help others.

Bud

Thanks a lot. I think I got it done. Can you tell me if this looks right. I only had the one battery to upgrade. I'd forgotten to take the plastic gimbal guard off so I shut it off and removed the guard and restarted the Phantom again.

I hope this checks out ok.

You can't see a battery update on that file. Battery updates rarely fail, but you can check if it was updated by looking at your LOG_AB file if you still have it on your SD card.

Read this post and the couple of posts after that one for more info.

Hey,

I can't see a firmware version within the DJI Go app - I get a controller serial and an app version.
Where should I be going to check the battery firmware?

Thanks :)

No need to worry about them matching. l've had eight of those battery and never once manually updated, always automatic for me. If there's a problem it will let u know
