Battery charges, stays at flashing 1s light

I upgraded to some mad dog 2700 batteries. They are great!
However after the last flight the stock phantom charger stays blinking red and also blinking the 1s light.
Any ideas?

It's balancing the cell.

Its not balancing the cell (or rather if it is, its still doing it 24 hours later). I've tried resetting the charger, and another cell of the same type that works great. I'm guessing this particular battery must have died then...

Any update to this chain confirming that the battery is bad? I purchased a new out of box stock battery and getting the very same indicator, constantly blinking 1S.
