So, new here and while reading about charging everything up, they talk quite often of discharging the main unit (copter) battery. How do you discharge it? I see no instructions on how to nor do I see any type of switches to discharge it.

Also, is the only way to charge the controller to plug it into the USB port of the laptop or PC? You cant use a wall socket?

Thank you.

There are a couple of ways to discharge. With the battery in the Phantom, run the motors. No props - safer but slower. With props - outdoors with all attendant safety procedures. Another method is controlled by the battery itself. In the GO app, you select how many days you wish to battery to wait before it begins self-discharging. 2 days, 3 days, etc. Someone else may know better methods.

Yep, find USB power plug. My manual does not list the recommended amperage. I just use an old cell phone transformer.
