Ok. I lost my Phantom vision 2 plus this weekend. All pilot error. Was following a friends ski boat on the Black creek and went around a corner and lost sight of the quad. Pushed up to get above the trees and caught a limb over hanging the bank.

Now the real question. Is there any where you can buy just the Phantom vision 2 plus with the camera and gimbal??? I did a live chat on the DJI Innovation web site and the rep. said yes but you have to get it from a dealer and he gave my the dealer locator map link. I have sent a couple emails and done a few live chats but so far no one sells just the Phantom.

If any one know where I could get one please let me know. Thanks

Here is the link to one of the videos I did before I lost it.

I bet you really won't save that much just getting the phantom. Did you find it ? If it wasn't salt water pull the battery and put in a bag of rice after blowing it out. Let it sit a week in the seals bag of rice. Might get lucky. Some guy have. If it's saltwater forget about it.

Very nice video. Too bad about the Phantom. Instead of buying just the bird and camera, I'd buy a complete set and keep your old control unit as a spare. My $0.02

Sorry for your loss. Cool video, I'd get a new set like slothead recommended. Nice boat and skiing! :D

My experience with water landings have not been bad. I have repaired a couple pool landings and one salt water landing. The esc's almost always cook. The mother board can be reflowed. The battery is certainly questionable. The flight controller may need reflowing. The camera and Gimbal should survive. What do you want for it?

He's got to find it first! Do you use an IR reflow oven to "reflow"?

I could not find the Phantom. The water is dark and very deep. It crashed right on the edge but there is a current and it drops of fast. I was hoping to save some money but it doesn't sound like I can. thanks for the input but I might just sell what I have left for now. Thanks

Another foiler! Sorry to hear that you lost your Phantom. That definitely sucks.

But I love the video you posted! I bought my Phantom for that exact reason (to get pretty much those exact shots of people foiling) and I only got a chance to try it once - which didn't result in anything too spectacular. Next summer!

I use a hot air station and keep my temps down. I have had allot of success and very few hiccups.
