Back & forth btwn iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2

I'm still waiting for my P4 to arrive, but had a question in the meantime. I plan to typically fly with an iPhone 6, but when my daughter goes out to fly with me, we thought we would use her iPad mini 2. Is there any issue going back and forth between the two devices? Do you just get DJI go on both and you are off to the skies?
