With the Autopilot app can I connect using wifi at home and the phantom on, then switch off the phantom, but leave the app running when I go to my flight location and reconnect the phantom and fly without the need to reconnect to register it each time? Or when you turn off your phantom and turn it on, do you have to reconnect and register the app each time the phantom is switched on again?

I could be wrong but I believe it registers in the background meaning you don't even notice it doing it when you start the app. And I think once it's registered that's it done. I have never done anything to register the app myself, and flown a few times with autopilot and no internet connectivity. It just launches, connects to the quad and you're good to go.
