Is there any P2 software (not V or V+) that has any of the fun features like POI, orbit, follow, way points, for us GoPro equipped Phantoms, or are we out of luck?

Those features need 2 ways com (up and down stream). The controller+app needs to talk to the NAZA and the NAZA needs to talk to the controller+app. For 2 ways com on the P2, you will need BTU24 unit and Ground Station. The only problem is I don't know how much development has continued with Ground Station.
There is an alternative method but its the long way round. My Vision Plus is a converted H33D Gopro 3+BE setup that uses the existing wifi coms (2way) and DJI Vision app. This means I can use apps like autopilot and Litchi for POI/Follow/Waypoints. Its the best of both worlds except max range is 800m.
